今年も残すところあと一週間となりました。今年を振り返ると、生徒の皆さんの成長をたくさん感じることができ、
とても嬉しく思います。
保育園生の子どもたちは相変わらず元気いっぱいで、毎回のレッスンが楽しい時間となっています。
With only one week left in the year, I’ve taken the time to reflect on our students’ growth throughout the year,
and I couldn’t be happier. The nursery school children remain as energetic as ever, making each lesson a joyful experience for them.

SIMCの発表会は、2023年のWinter Concertをもって一旦終了しましたが、これからも生徒の皆さんには目標を持ちながら
音楽を楽しんでいただきたいと思っています。
現在、SIMCには5歳から82歳までの幅広い年齢層の生徒さんが通っています。特に、82歳の生徒さんがオンラインレッスン
を使いこなし、年齢を問わず新しいことにチャレンジする姿勢には大きな感動を覚えます。
来年度からは3歳の生徒さんも新たに加わる予定です。
Although the SIMC recitals concluded with the Winter Concert in 2023, we hope all our students will continue to
enjoy music while keeping their goals in mind. Currently, we have students ranging in age from 5 to 82 years old.
I am particularly impressed by one student, aged 82, who has successfully mastered online lessons and continues
to embrace new challenges, regardless of age. Next year, we will also welcome a new 3-year-old student.
今年は、Bach、Chopin、Beethoven、そしてPTNAコンクールに数名の生徒さんが参加しました。特に、発表会と同じ感覚
で参加できるPTNA STEPには、30名もの生徒さんが舞台に立ちました。目標を持つことで、多くの学びや成長を得られます。
それはピアノの上達だけでなく、音楽的・人間的な成長にもつながりますので、これからもぜひ積極的に挑戦していただき
たいと思います。
This year, several students participated in competitions, including those for Bach, Chopin, and Beethoven, as well as
the notable PTNA STEP competition, which allows students to perform like a recital. In total, 30 students took part in
the PTNA STEP competition. Having a goal has proven to be an excellent motivator for learning and growth. This not only leads to improvements in piano skills but also fosters musical and personal development. I encourage everyone
to continue actively challenging themselves.

舞台に立つ経験は、大きな達成感と高揚感をもたらし、自信につながります。また、その経験が日々の練習にも良い影響
を与えます。もちろん、初心者の方であれば、舞台に立って1曲を弾ききるだけでも立派な成果です。
来年も挑戦の機会がありますので、ぜひチャレンジしてみてはいかがでしょうか。
Performing on stage provides a tremendous sense of accomplishment and elation, which in turn fosters self-confidence. This experience positively influences daily practice. For beginners, simply standing on stage and playing one piece is already a significant achievement. There will be another opportunity next year to challenge yourself, so why not give
it a try?
また、大人の生徒さんの中には、仕上げた曲をYouTubeに投稿することで新しい形の発表を楽しんでいる方もいらっしゃいます。このような発表の場が広がるのも素晴らしいことだと思います。
Some of our adult students are enjoying a new way to showcase their skills by posting their completed songs on YouTube, which we consider a fantastic development.

We are excited to introduce a new teacher, my daughter Elisa, who is currently enrolled in the Music Liberal Arts Performer Course at Tokyo College of Music. She will be teaching lessons on Saturday afternoons, and I hope you will welcome her warmly.
