自宅の教室をはじめたのは2009年で、娘がプリスクールに通ってた頃、同級生のママ達が英語で習える教室を探していたのが
きっかけでした。教室名もまだ決めないままでスタートをし、当時習いに来た生徒の出身国がイギリス、中国、韓国、ペルー、
香港と様々だった事から“スシアナ インターナショナル ミュージック クラス” にしました。スクールではなくてクラス？
とよく聞かれますが、教室は一部屋なのでスクールではなく、クラスの方がイメージに合うと説明しています。
英語だとスタジオという呼び名になりますね。
本格的に生徒募集をはじめたのは2011年からで、今まで10カ国以上の生徒が習いに来ています。
本当に感謝しています。
I started my music studio in 2009. When my daughter was in preschool and her classmates were looking for
an English class and wanted me to teach them.
I started without deciding on a name for the class, and since the countries of origin of the students who came to
learn at the time were England, China, South Korea, Peru, Hong Kong and other countries, so I named it
“Sushiana International Music Class.” Why A Class instead of a School ? I am often asked this question.
I explained that because the classroom is a room, so the word “class” fits the image better than “school”.
In English, it would be called a studio.
In 2011, when I began recruiting students in earnest, I had students from more than 10 countries now.
I am very grateful to them.
さて今回は色んな国の「ドレミファソラシド」のお話です。
この呼び方は、11世紀に修道士で音楽教師でもある”グイド・ダレッツォ”という人物によって考案されました。
「聖ヨハネ賛歌」のラテン語で書かれている歌詞の最初の文字を取り、それを音名にしたそうです。
Now, I’d like to introduce “Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do ” from various countries.
It was invented in the 11th century by an abbey;he is also a music teacher named Guido D’Arezzo.
The hymn “Ut queant laxis” is said to have taken the first letter of the lyrics
written in Latin and gave it a sound name.
私はヤマハ音楽教室で教えていた頃から 「歌うように弾く」という事を大切にしてきたので
小さい子の導入にソルフェージュを取り入れています。
言語が違っても歌う時はイタリア語の音名「ドレミ」で歌ってもらいますが、
国によってそれぞれの呼び名が少し違う事に気づきました。
Ever since I started teaching at Yamaha, it has been a common practice to “play as if you were singing”
I also use solfeggio for teaching to young children.
Even the language is different, I ask them to sing the Italian names of the notes
“Do Re Mi ” when they sing, I have noticed that the names are a little different in each country.
音階の名前の「ドレミファソラシド」は何語か知ってる？と、子供たちに質問すると
みんな考え込んでしまい、レッスンノートの後ろのページに「イタリア語」と、書いてあるのを見ると
「え〜イタリア語なんだ！」と意外な表情をします。
では、各国はどの呼び名なのかみてみましょう。
I often ask the children, “Do you know what the word for the name of the musical scale is, “Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do”?
They are using their lesson notebooks, so when they open the page behind it and see that it is written in Italian,
their reaction was unexpected expression, Italian! They look at me and say, “Oh ～so it’s in Italian!
Let’s see what each country calls it.
中国と韓国で使われている音名の字は違いますが発音はラテン語と同じく「Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do」です。
The pronunciation is “Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do” as in Latin, although the letters of the sound name
used in China and Korea are different.

国によって言葉は違いますが、出てくる音は世界共通なので言葉が通じなくても音楽はコミュニケーションツール
としての大事な役割になりますね。
The language may differ from country to country, but the sounds that come out are the same all over the world,
so music can play an important role as a communication tool even if you don’t understand the language.
