ピアノのペダルを正しく踏むには、かかとは床につけて、右足の親指と人差し指の付け根から少し内側部分で、
ペダルの手前3分の1あたりを踏みます。
そして強く踏まないように、離すときはかかとを床につけたまま足の甲を持ち上げ、
静かに離してください。ドスンと響かないように足をピアノペダルと接触させます。
To properly step on the piano pedal, the heel should be on the floor and place them
slightly inward from the base of your right big toe and index finger.
Step on the front third of the pedal.
When releasing the pedal, keep the heel on the floor and lift the instep of the foot,
then gently release the pedal.
Allow your foot to stay close to the piano pedal without a thud.
多くの幼児は背が低いため、ピアノペダルに足が届かず、早くペダルを使い始めたい場合は、ピアノ補助ペダルが
必要になります。日本のコンクールやコンサートなどでも様々なピアノ補助ペダルが使われています。
補助ペダルがあると、低年齢の子供でもペダルを使用することにより、曲に豊かな表情がつけられます。
ペダルを使った時は音を注意して聴きましょう。

SIMCの通常レッスンでは、生徒の足がペダルに届くまでペダルを使いませんが早くペダルを使い始めたい場合は、
家でも練習できるようにピアノ補助ペダルを購入してもらっています。
In regular SIMC lessons, I do not use the pedals until the student’s feet reach the pedals but if they want
to start using the pedals sooner, I ask them to purchase a piano pedal extender, so that they can also
practice at home.
